Kinky Room Brașov

The host had sent me video instructions on getting the keys from the front lock box, opening the courtyard gate then accessing the room. However, I couldn't get the key to turn in the room lock so called the host and she sent someone over within 10 minutes - the wrong keys has been provided. I felt comfortable that even if I had arrived late the issue would have been resolved very quickly. The accommodation is very small (I think the photos sum it up well) - a sofa bed, the "themed" stuff (which I didn't try!), a table with a kettle and a bathroom. Everything is very clean and cute toiletries are included. There is a large window sill to put bits and pieces on. I had to return to Brasov for one night en route to Sinaia and Bucharest, so was after somewhere cheap, clean and well-situated, and this was ideal for me. The bus (#4) from Brasov train station stops just a few metres away (note that there is a different stop to return to the station)

The main light is very dim - it is a dungeon-themed room after all (note it's on the ground floor of the courtyard so not at all scary). I would have liked a second lighting option as I needed to repack all of my stuff. The bathroom light is a normal one, but it activates the fan which is noisy. The room itself is very quiet, but the group staying next door were very noisy - they were in very good spirits and had their window open and having fun until the early hours. Being English, I didn't ask them to be quiet/shut the window but rental accommodation has house rules for a reason. I felt sorry for permanent residents in the building. I still got a good sleep though.
