I took a bit of a gamble staying at Lava Beach Suites in Agia Galini because it had this laid-back tiki vibe, but it turned out to be a fantastic choice. The staff treated me like family, the internet was reliable for working remotely, and the live music on certain nights was a great touch. The food and drinks were surprisingly delicious, and the whole place had a warm, welcoming energy. I’d absolutely come back.

The beach itself isn't the most scenic, feels a bit in an 80s/90s time capsule and you're basically staring at a small port. This isn't the hotels fault, just the nature of the town. But if you look past the first 30 feet the distance is beautiful. Plus pretty epic sunsets. But the overall vibe and the amazing people definitely make it worth a visit.
