Silcox House Bath

Host provided detailed information before our arrival and was supportive throughout our stay. We highly appreciate that a baby cot was organized for our stay even though it seemed that they did not have it in place beforehand.

We have mixed feelings about our stay. From one side, it seemed that the host was caring (and baby cot is proof of that), from the other side it seemed that the apartment lacks helpful hand. Meaning that it could have been cleaner. It seemed that we received the apartment in a state how the previous resident had left it (except for bed sheets and dishes which seemed to be clean). And it would be OK, if this would have been disclosed in the apartment description. Also some wear and tear marks on walls, furniture. Since we lived in the city centre and during our stay there was World Cup celebrations, until approx.11pm sleep was disturbed as it was very noisy and hot.

The place was fully stocked with everything. It was thoroughly cleaned before we arrived. The host kept good communication to access the property.

The room was a bit hot for the time of the year we went. The host did provide a fan but I would suggest to provide extension plug so the fan can be placed in appropriate place.

It was so hot! They had left the windows open and fans on but it was roasting. Weather was very hot so couldn’t be helped but it was uncomfortable.

Great location — easy walking distance to everything in Bath. The beds were comfortable and made for a good stay overall.

The TV was not working properly and had no channels available. It was also quite noisy at night, with people returning to nearby apartment and being loud through the night, which affected sleep.
