THE AIRPORT HOUSE

We stayed for one night before our flight back home. It was just what we needed. Parking, shower, a good sleep and coffie in the morning. Even though you can hear all the cars and planes, it probably depends on how tired you are :) Thank you! We would choose you again!

The hosts are very welcoming. They don’t speak English well, but they are anyway ready to help. They even left some coffee, cold water, and breakfast snacks for us. We really felt like welcomed guests there. The flat is quite big, and three of us could comfortably stay there for a night before our flight. The way to the airport was about a 15-minute walk, but you have to walk along the road without a pedestrian sidewalk. The flat had everything you might need for a short and even a longer stay. It even has access to a shared inner yard. For a checkout you simply leave your keys on a table, so there are no problems with the early checkouts.

It is located directly on a small but quite busy street, so it’s very noisy until the late evening. It would probably be the only downside. Also, I didn’t feel comfortable on a mattress, but it might be very personal because I prefer very soft ones.

Friendly welcome by the owner who was waiting for us (we gave our approx. arrival time). Very clean place, one feel like at home. Location was perfect for our need (very closed to the Airport - only 10-15min. walking). Just for info: walking was on the road (no pedestrian path). Next morning (early) we took shuttle offered by the owner for a reasonable price. Kitchen was well equipped for making your own breakfast (enough tea/coffee and Italian pastry) Lots of coffee shop and shops around. Even bus 524 stop nearby (going straight to Catania centre) - Bus ticket to be obtained at the T shop nearby (1 EURO for 90min. validity)

Sehr gastfreundliche und herzliche Besitzer, alles sauber und gut ausgestattet. Wir wurden morgens um vier zum Flughafen gefahren, da es dunkel war wollten wir nicht zu Fuß gehen. Sind aber nur 10 Minuten Fußweg.

De locatie was héél apart, in een klein typisch dorpje aan de luchthaven gelegen, met alle drukte wat erbij hoort. Heerlijke pizza gegeten in een écht simpel Italiaans pizza restaurantje, de enige eetgelegenheid in dit dorpje.

Het lawaai van drukke Italiaanse conversaties, wat ook wel zijn charme had en 's ochtends vliegtuiglawaai wat bij een verblijf naast een vliegveld vanzelfsprekend is.
