KRI Holiday House

Location was near the Aluksne, so easy to get by car. Hosts were very friendly and responsive. Place was rather clean and it was nice that it was possible to make a barbecue in the garden. Even the grill rods were possible to borrow for a barbecue.

Though there were a few negative things to point it out. First of all, the toilet/bathroom was not functional. There was no handle at the door inside the bathroom, so you need to keep the door open. There was obviously some problem with a sewerage. After having a shower the water didn't go away, so the whole floor was covered with water. The toilet pot was not quite fixed to the floor, it was shaky and after flushing it didn't take all the stuff away. No coffee machine or even a French press to make a coffee. And a top of it there was a negative way to wake up next morning around 5.30 am, while the host was washing a truck with pressure washer (there is a big garage next to the house, probably for fixing trucks). The noise was so big that all 5 people woke up, which was a little too early.
