Nice concept and location

Difficult to access because of the roads and Google maps is not very helpful. It’s easier if you have a 4x4 car.

Great experience. The domes are located near Balcony Walk. From the domes, you can see the top of Jabal Shams mountain and the surrounding rocks. We stayed in dome No.1, and the room was pretty nice and clean. You can witness both the sunset and the sunrise from a nearby viewpoint. Communication with the owner via WhatsApp was great. Be careful, as it is necessary to pay in cash (we used dollars). I recommend using a 4x4 car to reach this location, as the asphalt road ends before reaching it. For dinner and breakfast, you can visit Jabal Shams Resort, which is just a 2-minute drive from the domes. If you're looking for a nice experience, visit Jabal Shams Domes.

The dining experience at Jabal Shams Resort is the reason why we cannot give it a 10/10 rating. We arrived approximately half an hour after the dinner start time, and most of the dishes were already depleted, with very slow replenishment. If you wanted to add, for example, fish to your plate, you had to request assistance from the staff, and the same process had to be repeated for other dishes. Repeatedly asking for refills was not very pleasant. This was not only our case; the same situation occurred with other guests in the dining area. There is definitely room for improvement in this aspect. Otherwise, the food was fine.

The domes are brand new and very clean. There is AC with heating mode, so it is always warm inside even if the nights are cold. In the morning you can see a sunrise from your window. The location is perfect: there are many view points nearby and balcony walk is close also.

The domes are very close to the Balcony Walk, which was great. The host was very helpful and the domes have everything you need! They make a little campfire for you if you want!

Nothing

The domes are exceptionally beautiful with proper interiors and good facilities with bathrobe, heating and cooling as per convenience, seating area to view the beautiful sight of stars at night, mini refrigerator and kettle and spacious capacity for a couple stay. It’s an enriching experience to stay in the dome during winters at the top of Jebel Shams and view the majestic beauty of mountains and stars at night. Very private, calm and peaceful for someone looking for such an experience away from city life. To add to it, the owner of this dome (Mr Fahad) is an amazing host, extremely cooperative with great hospitality and very affable. He is just a call or message away for any concerns. We came all the way from Abu Dhabi to experience this mountain Dome stay and it was a pleasant one. Not to forget, the housekeeper Jehangir is dependable too for all required facilities.

Great location, close to balcony walk and good communication

In the evening it get cold, so brushing teeth outside was a bit chilly and no sheets

It is OK for breakfast. About the location is OK. We can site seeing around the resort which I enjoy that but it has just only 2 domes, no reception, no anybody to service (if I need) and it is too quite and fell not lively.

The wash basin install outside the room which is not convenience to use it especially for brush teething. And the bath room do not separate the wet and dry zone.

Nice location high up at Jabal Shams

No duvet or pillow covers, when we asked it was only possible to provide pillow covers. The bathroom did not have a sink, this was outside behind the dome. A kettle was provided but no cups or tea or coffee, a fridge was provided but no water or glasses. The door to the dome was privacy glass however it let daylight in and there was no curtain. Beds very hard. There was a lamp but it was still in its packaging and had no bulb. For the cost per night, this was not an acceptable room.

A very good experience :) Very well located near to the balcony road. The communication with the host was very easy and appreciate.
