Pheasant's Hollow

Fantastic property and host. Decked out super tastefully for Christmas and truly a home from home. The bath is incredible.

Couldn't pack in time for checkout so we left on time and made the place aware we had belongings on the property. They "disposed" of everything.

Easy to find even though the car park is tucked out of the way. Lounge area comfortable and kitchen well stocked with cups, plates etc. Beds were comfortable. The apartment was warm and cosy. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

Minor points: The steps up to the accommodation are very steep. Entrance has damp walls. The bath is difficult to get into as the sides are so high. Decoration/wallpaper in the twin room and bathroom could be improved as some of it is peeling at the edges which detracts from all the good parts.

Location and parking

The entrance is not nice at all. One working light bulb and holes in the walls, when added to the not very nice staircase do not give an inviting entrance. The apartment itself is really lovely. It’s such a nice place. It’s just getting to it is not!

Ideally located, warm and comfortable, parking available, great information on booking and pre arrival.

The flat was wonderful, beautufully decorated and furnished; spacious for our family of four. The beds were really comfortable and the carpets plush. Our host shared some great local knowledge with us and the car parking space was a real bonus.

The little touch’s robes in the master bedroom, Tea coffee and biscuits left for us much appreciated. Shona was very easy to contact and any queries answered in a very short time.

If i had to put any negative at all, It would be the height of the bath to get in to shower. Maybe an extra little step would help but didn’t spoil anything about the stay more just an observation

A beautiful apartment furnished to a high standard. It was spacious and exceptionally clean. We walked into the town centre a couple of nights which took us maybe 10/15 minutes at the most but it was a lovely walk. There are a few shops just a couple of minutes walk from the apartment where you can buy groceries etc. We would definitely stay here again.
