"Amazing stay, perfect for walking and trail running"

9.0

Had a wonderful 3 day stay here. The valley was beautiful and had amazing weather. Stayed during late spring half term, hiking/running two long loops from the front door. Saw about 3 people the whole time. Snowdon would have been heaving. Studio was perfect for me on my own - would definitely come back again. It's a bit of a trek back out of the valley, so bring food in. The one plate induction hob was fine for me, microwave/oven available and the fridge is full size so no problem with storage. Other reviewers mention ceiling height - I'm 6'2" and found it perfectly fine :)

The location is STUNNING! A walkers paradise, nature surrounding you and gorgeous mountains. What a relaxing place to explore and just chill out in. Enge was welcoming and gave us the right amount of attention (we don't like fuss). Also, the location is near to the mach loop. The studio was clean, comfy and warm, windows let in great light. The mezzanine bedroom was sturdy and a real novelty! Views out the window were amazing too. . Cooking facilities were more than adequate.. we managed to make a couple of meals for two and some breakfast. Would 1000% come back.

The rugs, especially up the mezzanine could do with anti slip underneath, as we slipped a couple of times. Also think it could benefit from a blind on the sky light above bed and the window up there. (Didn't really bother us too much) And maybe provide some fly spray for those pesky flies and midgies.. - but that can't be helped!

"Beautiful studio best weekend I've had in a while"

10.0

Small beautiful studio in the middle of wales. Surrounded by beautiful mountains and wildlife. Will definitely go back and stay again. The hosts were lovely people and very welcoming and accommodating.

No tv but we didn't mind this as we spent most of the time out exploring the area.

"Sad we had to leave"

10.0

Amazing location, a renovated space with almost everything you need in a gorgeous old home, and a short walk to the trailhead for Aran Fawddwy hike. Small kitchen but we were able to make toasted sandwiches, boil eggs, reheat leftovers, and make a salad. The water comes from a natural spring in the mountains. Lots of morning light, so bring a sleep mask if you want to sleep in. Note: Low ceilings in the bathroom, those over six feet will need to duck.

"Pleasant stay but sadly wont return."

6.0

My Husband and I had a pleasant stay here in May this year. The converted old tractor shed is lovely and set within an exceptional area. The views and location are nothing short of superb and the hosts (Enge & Claire) are very kind and welcoming. The garden area was lovely with the BBQ and so calm and peaceful. We were so lucky with the weather which meant we could spend so much time outside and explore the valley.

Sadly for us our stay could have been better had there been curtains in the property, We don't routinely read others reviews as what is good for 1 is not for another and vice versa - had we; then we may have not stayed. There are multiple windows in the property which is so nice during the day as it is light and airy however at night we felt quite exposed and were sadly woken at 3.45 by the light of the day. Sadly the shower pressure is so poor the shower is more like a slow dribble and the bed was very uncomfortable due to the metal springs poking in your back. We did feed this back to the hosts on leaving and we ended up leaving the property at 8.30 (much earlier than planned) as we had been wide awake so long. Whilst Claire stated others had enjoyed not having curtains we felt it would've been nice to have the option considering we're paying guests and privacy and a nice nights sleep is important to us.
