"We loved this hotel and its staff. 3 nights wasn’t long enough and we will be returning for a longer stay very soon."

10.0

The location was perfect, so unusual. We felt like we were actually in the middle of the Sahara desert but surrounded by 5 star luxury . The staff were amazing, couldn’t do enough for us.

Unfortunately ran out of oranges which affected our breakfast and pool side drinks for I day.

"Sahara worth the trek but only for a night"

6.0

Food was pretty ordinary - we had dinner and breakfast. Location pretty good, right at the base of the dunes. Staff were friendly, we were 2 of 4 guests in the hotel and it felt like a ghost town, a bit creepy. The best part is the pool as it overlooks the dunes. They did organise a quad bike hour long ride of the dunes which was amazing for 45 euros. Worth every cent. 1 hour is enough. Oh, and it says it doesn't have wifi but it does! It wasn't mentioned to us, and we only came across it by chance.

Bloody hard to find the hotel once you turn off the highway. No signs, Google Maps saved the day (get an e-sim from Holafly). The track is dirt and bumpy and you have to crawl along. Luckily we saw in the distance the word Xaluca as we were going the wrong way. The welcome wasn't super friendly, it was if we were intruding. Found the staff asleep on sofas if they weren't attending to the guests. Beds are like 'beds of nails' and they only turned the aircon on before we got there and it was 45 degrees!
