Neptune's Cottage

The property was in great location and very clean . Management was easy to reach , helpful and responsive .

I loved everything about the property.

Fun & interesting space. Good walking distance to the beach/sea wall. Good wall-mounted air conditioiners upstairs and downstairs. We like it cool, so the downstairs area was nice and cold. Ecclectic mixing of decroative style. Kitchen seemed to be laid out well, but we did not use it. As I looked around, kichen seemed adequately equipped. Easy check in and check out procedure. Host was responsive to texting and messages. Great wifi and 2 wifi connected tvs. Very nice shower unit with multiple settings for directional spray. There were a few little snacks provided, but we did not partake. Would stay here again. Entry access is up the stairwell, but the door downstairs unlocks and opens. It made for easily unloading the suitcases without having to carry up the stairs outside and back down the stairs inside. Seating space in the downstairs area was comfortable.

The description said the sleeper sofa was in the living room, but the sleeper sofa was in the downstairs bedroom. The space is not recommended for anyone with mobility problems because of uneven top step outside, narrow stairwell inside, and uneven flooring between the living room and kitchen area. Living room, kitchen, and bathroom are all on the 2nd floor. We're pretty mobile, so we didn't have any problems, but I tripped on the kitchen floor a couple of times.

This was located in the perfect spot to move around the city and get to the Seawall in less than 5 minutes. We learned that the property was located next to another property called the Q Lofts rented by the same person. The house was beautifully decorated and felt like a home away from home.

I have bad knees and it has deep narrow steps.

The outdoor handrail only reached to the top step. The landing did not have a handrail. I would just say this is not a senior (elderly) friendly facility.

The cottage was in the perfect location and served our purpose well.

Only negative we could find were the steep, narrow stairs from ground to second floor.

Two stories ….. when booke didn’t realize it was 2 stories and bathroom on top floor / bedroom on bottom. Husband has some heart issues and was somewhat difficult climbing stairs. We made it fine but might be helpful to list that it is 2 story
