The Backwoods Cottage - Nuwara Eliya

Host was fantastic.

The Backwoods is a spacious apartment surrounded by quiet countryside, just short tuk-tuk-tuk/taxi ride away from the hustle & bustle of downtown Nuwara Eliya. The apartment itself has a large open-plan dining/lounge area, together with a well-equipped kitchen area which has all you would need for self-catering. A large dining table suitable for 6 people, was set with plates, cups & cutlery on our arrival. There are two good-sized double bedrooms (two double beds in each) and a smaller room with a small double beds, provided ample (& comfortable) sleeping accommodation. All bedrooms have en-suite toilet/shower room & storage space. The place was spotlessly clean, WiFi worked well - in fact everything was just as advertised. Finally, the host is extremely helpful & friendly &, on hand to deal with any issue - even going to the trouble of sending by courier an item we had left behind to our next place of accommodation. I thoroughly recommend The Backwoods Cottage - extremely good value for money for such a great place. A gem of a find.

Good stay for a family trip with availability of attached bathroom in all bed rooms and kitchen.

Though the staff was assisting the guest well felt would require to be bit more professional in communicating to the guests and being conscious about what to do and what not to do.

Lot of space to move around

They overcharged us, reasons given was it had tax

Dont like anything. Quite different fronlm the picture. Bad smell the whole house. Not safe at all.

Owner is absolutely friendly. Caretaker is also very helpful. We stayed a night . Rooms were clean. Place is worth for money. I will visit it again.
