MCC Argotti House

La localización está muy bien, a 5 minutos andando del centro y de la terminal de autobus desde donde puedes ir a todos los puntos de Malta, pero en una calle tranquila, por lo que moverse por Malta resulta muy cómodo y fácil desde esta ubicación. Fue muy fácil moverse y La Valetta me resultó más agradable e histórica que el resto de ciudades. El apartamento es muy bonito con las paredes de piedra, limpio y con lo que necesitas para unos días. Para una estancia corta está bien, y el check in y check out es super sencillo con el cajetin en la puerta.

Coincidimos con otras opiniones sobre la humedad. No dormimos bien porque el dormitorio está en el sótano y hay demasiada humedad. No podíamos encenderle por la noche porque con el ruido no conseguíamos dormir. Lo mejor es encenderle un par de horas antes de ir a dormir para que baje todo lo posible, y luego apagarlo para que el ruido no moleste. En nuestro caso eramos una pareja y tenemos mucha confianza, por lo que la falta de privacidad del baño no fue un gran problema, pero si vas con alguien con quien no tengas mucha confianza no lo recomiendo. Para que no te vean en el retrete o la ducha, la otra persona tiene que irse a la planta de arriba. Dos cucarachas entraron por algún lado y teníamos todo cerrado. Al estar en un bajo y sótano es más fácil que entren, pero eso es problema de Malta, no del alojamiento, ya que en la calle por la noche se ven un montón.

Loved the quiet area and homely feel. Easy access to the main town of Valletta. Hosts were lovely and offered many suggestions on restaurants, activities and transport.

The only thing to note is make sure you are very comfortable with who you are staying with as the bathroom concept is quite open.

I personally admire houses with a character and this tiny house ticked all the boxes . Just two rooms but more than enough to stay for a short while, everything was clean and kitchen fully equipped. Close to the Valletta City Gate and hosts are super helpful .

This was by far the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in. The self check-in process was unnecessarily complicated and stressful. The room was essentially a basement with no fresh air at all – it constantly smelled of damp and mold. The sheets were always damp from the humidity, making it impossible to feel comfortable. The toilet was inside the room with no privacy whatsoever, so using it in front of your roommate was extremely awkward. The sink was clogged, so we couldn’t even brush our teeth properly. The ventilation system made a horrible noise all the time, and there was no air-conditioning in the kitchen area. The host told us to buy a socket adapter, even though the room already had three sockets. The shampoo and shower gel were already used and not individual or new, which felt unhygienic. The ceiling was unfinished, with dust and dirt falling down – it felt like staying in a catacomb or a storage room with a bed rather than a proper home. Breathing inside was genuinely uncomfortable. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It does not deserve to be listed as a proper living space.

Clean and functional apartment (even with adaptors for EU sockets!) in the quieter part of Valletta, a 10 min walk from the historical centre of the city; a couple nice restaurants in the neighbourhood.

The apartment is on the ground floor and in the basement of a residential building. There is no A/C on the ground floor (living room + kitchen), and it gets quite humid and hot. However, there is A/C in the bedroom in the basement, so the temperature is comfortable at night. The hot water did not work in the shower (luckily, this wasn't too big a problem because it was extremely hot outside, and a cold shower was refreshing).

Location is okay, you can walk to Valletta in about 15 min via the Mall. They had some wine left and a bottle of water.

I have been living in Malta for over 2 years and haven't seen so many cockroaches as I have seen during my 5 days stay at this place (probably because of the main entrance doors huge gaps in it). There was small one in a shower, then the very first night 1 was running around right on the bed just before I was going to sleep, the other one I found couple of days later next to the stairs dead. Right after moving in I checked the apartment and saw a small thin worm tangling on the floor of the shower and I have seen some during my entire stay in the shower. Not sure where they are coming from. On top of that, the first floor is boiling hot, so basically you cant really do much there as even watching tv while sitting is too hot (no AC there). I tried using the fan but its pointless when its 30+ degrees in the evening. Bedroom is in the basement which is EXTREAMLY humid. There is a dehumidifier which withing the day manages to collect 3-4 liters of water! And even then, the whole bed feels damp, all clothes you leave in the wardrobe will get damp as well within a day or so. Because of this humidity, some debris kept falling from the ceiling onto my face while I was asleep and having in mind that there are bunch of cockroaches running about, it did not make it less stressful. Also their bed covers were full of someone else's hair. I have found multiple hair and tried to pick them all up 1 by 1 as it was a bit nasty. They probably washed the covers but the hair was stuck inside the covers. The toilet there is literally next to the bed, so if you going with your partner, bear in mind that there is nothing covering between the toilet and the bed apart small piece of glass and some curtains. But I was alone and even after using the toilet the smell will stay there for a while so you will end up sleeping with it. There are much more small issues which I will not go about because I have reached the limit, but you get the idea. Best advice would be to look...

Very nice and clean apartment. It is perfectly located to visit Valletta! Charlene is also very responsive, flexible and kind. Perfect for a solo traveler!

The toilets and shower are within the room with no privacy. So I wouldn’t really recommend it for more than 1 guest.

Excellent stay!

The character of this town house is superb. Kitchen fully equipped , tv supporting various channels and comfy bed. Stayed for few days due to work but will definitely come back on holiday. Also Few meters away from the City gate and house is surrounded by gardens.

Really cute place to stay. Super central and easy to walk to and from places in Valetta, but also in a quiet area. Love the building which is so beautiful and was a comfortable stay. Bed was comfy. I really liked my stay here - Thank you

The air conditioner can be a bit noisy at times that is downstairs. Also upstairs can be a bit hot so maybe an air conditioner up there
