The Old Piggeries

The location was the only good point. You will still need a car to get about as the beach is a good 25-20 minute walk. Parking at the property is very awkward. We received a telling off from a neighbour. Only one space for one car and its very tight, & not ideal if you have a large car.

Where to start?! The Piggeries is old and tired, needs a refurb or, as a minimum a good clean. It is really expensive for what it is. The photos advertised make it look nicer than it really is. clever photography made it appear like a larger house and we were really underwhelmed. The kitchen is pokey and is upstairs, along with the over sized dining area not connected to the rest of the house. We spoke to Hideaways about the house keeping which was poor, & the house had its many faults i.e. taps falling off - which they agreed, it is old tired and cleaning wasn't up to standard, so they offered us a voucher for another trip ?! NO THANK YOU.

A perfect location for a walk to West Bay for lunch and the village has some really good pubs if you don't feel like cooking. We ate in both evenings, using the well stocked kitchen and found the house perfect for playing games and socialising.

Parking was a little tight! But the village location was perfect so we could park by the church as well.
