Hill View Cottage

Cozy, warm, comfortable and everything you'd need for a relaxing stay. Close to the centre and pubs / restaurants/ takeaway etc.

Everything was fine, my only issue was the bathroom sink seem to be getting blocked but that shouldn't put anyone off. It's a lovely place and we loved our time in Bala 👍

The location was excellent, 10 minutes walk from the lake, 2 minutes walk from the high street (plenty of shops and pubs). The house had everything we needed for a few nights stay. The host was extremely accommodating, as we arrived an hour before the check-in time, and he was happy for us to check in earlier than we were supposed to.

The neighbour made us feel very uncomfortable when she knocked in and accused us of not picking up a dog poo in the shared courtyard and she also implied that we left a used dog poo bag on their windowsill. We did have our dog with us (as the property is advertised as dog friendly), but we didn't let her out to the courtyard at all as it wasn't suitable for a dog in our opinion.

Location was excellent and cottage very clean

Nicely decorated, cosy. Friendly hosts, close to shops and restaurants, nice views.Overall, it was a pleasant property with a nice location.

The heating was not constant. Even though we adjusted it, it was switching on and off. The linen was washed but had some hairs and lastly no private parking, but there were parking spaces available. The hoover provided was not very powerful, and we struggled to hoover the living room. Unfortunately, there was no mop to clean the floor, so it is not ideal for a family with small children.

A lovely little cottage right next to the High Street so all pubs,restaurants & shops are just seconds away. Despite this the street was quiet.

Central heating was a little difficult to get your head around but ok once sorted.

The property was fantastic. Lovely decorated, comfortable, has everything you need!! The owners are lovely. We encountered a slight problem on the second day but was fixed in minutes with help from Geoff and Christine. They are always on the other end of the phone whenever you need them, they really made us feel very welcome. The cottage is really like a home from home. Location is fantastic!!!

Parking was a slight issue - garden is ok but next door neighbour isn’t keen on dogs so was wary of letting our dogs in the garden.
