Cozy and tastefully furnished.

Beautiful, comfortable, spacious, modern house. The heating was on when I arrived, which was so good after my long, cold drive. The front door opened straight onto the canal towpath, which is why I selected this property. If you turn right out the door, you shortly come to a pub, which is also on the canal path. I didn't get a chance to eat or drink in there, unfortunately. The fish and chip shop that was just a 30-second walk away was another reason I selected this house. Being on my own with a dog, it was very convenient.

The booking initially stated that the property comes with parking, which isn't entirely true. The street parking is free and very close, but I was lucky to get 1 space that was left. Carrying luggage on my own with a dog isn't easy so I was a bit shocked when I received parking instructions as I assumed it had its own driveway.

Location was right on the canal, so perfect for walking the dog. Canal boats, joggers and ducks all made for a lovely view to the front. Well equipped kitchen, comfy sofas and good sized bedrooms, all beautifully clean and welcoming.

Lovely cottage on the banks of a canal. Old cottage but modern and well decorated inside. Good location for us and great fish and chip shop round the corner.

Nothing really. If being picky a dishwasher would be good for longer stays.

Good size house. Just like the photos show. Plenty of space. Decorated to high standard. Comfortable beds. In built up area but on the canal. Have to go onto tow path to use front door. Nice evening walks. Even saw a kingfisher.

No off street parking. A pain in heavy rain.

A beautiful cottage in a lovely location, right next to the canal, which we walked up, and 30 seconds from the fish & chip shop, which we had for tea. Clean, had everything we wanted for the night, am so glad I found this place for our stay. Will remember this place if we go to pontypool again, and will definitely recommend.

The only things I can think of was the bed was a bit too soft for me, but the kids had a really good night's sleep and said the beds were extra comfy! It's one of those things though that I understand you can't please everyone. And secondly I couldn't get the sky box to work on the smart tv...but probably half my fault as I'm rubbish with that kind of thing and we enjoyed a netflix night instead.

Lovely place to stay. The photos do not do this place justice. Its very spacious and close to amenities. The cottage was very clean and well equipped.
