Desert Stars Camp

Wonderful secluded desert camp where you can watch the sunset, sunrise, moon and milky way in peace. I saw my first ever sitting star here! The location is well away from other camps and it is very discreet. (On the drive in, you will see other camps very close to the road, don't book those) Dinner and breakfast were delicious and our fussy children found the food excellent. We took the additional options of a 4WD transfer in and a sunset camel ride. We count ourselves lucky to have the camp to ourselves for the night, as we booked a Monday evening. The camp manager is very attentive.

Food was simple and delicious; location was superb; facilities were great; beds were comfortable; camel ride up the sand dunes for sunset was exceptional. We had a really enjoyable time.

The landscape was beautiful. It’s a very authentic camp but still comfortable. Ali was a great guide, the people were all very courteous and attentive.

Bells tents spaced out well enough. Peaceful. Great sunset views.

The staff are amazing - it was a hot night so they set up our beds outside and we slept under the stars - such an amazing experience.

Fantastic hosting and caring during the whole stay. A really good place for staying. Owner of the camp is really interested in the nature and connecting with people. We loved every single minute in this fantastic camp!

The location was beyond amazing! We could park our car at the village nearby and then our guide Ali brought us to the camp with a 20 min drive through the desert. This will cost an extra OMR 25, but that's totally worth it, especially if you don't have experienxe with driving through the desert or have a car that won't work in this landscape. On the camp location, you have the feeling you have the whole desert to yourself, which feels amazing! 🤩 We stayed in a tent for 3 persons and on the camp, you have in total 6 tents. We were lucky to be the only guests, so it felt like our private camp. Guide Ali stayed with us for diner and after diner, he made a nice campfire. Also host Rashid visited us to have a nice chat. Lovely people! 😊 Diner is with vegetables, rice, dahl, bread with dips and some meat (camel meat & chicken). For breakfast, there is bread, milk, cornflakes, vegetables and fruit.

Nothing, it was a truly unique experience!
