The Auction House

We enjoyed our short stay at The Auction House. It was conveniently located a short walk from the city centre on a quiet road and had everything we needed to be comfortable. It was easy to find and the hostess was helpful and flexible. As we were driving home we were already planning to come back for a longer stay, but unfortunately with the recent eruption in anti immigration riots across Belfast I can’t see that happening for a long time now.

Close proximity to everything

There was no helpful information sheet/booklet on how yo use appliances, the toaster only 1 side worked, the stove had a lock on it so we could not use it at all, the TV had no local channels. The weather being so cold extra blankets would have been appreciated.

Breakfast was great and the host was very accomodating!

The property owners were very responsive to our requests. The unit is quite lovely with modern amenities, including a great kitchen.

We booked the unit for seven nights however we only stayed six. I may be incorrect, but I feel like the bed was a full-size bed and not a queen. For two it felt small. The traffic noise outside is ridiculous. There is no air-conditioning so if you plan on sleeping with the windows open, you can count on not sleeping. Requested a fan and that helped drown out the noise but only if the windows were closed the doors are on hinges and squeak terribly. So to open the door, you wake anybody up who is sleeping? This is also on the third floor. So karting up luggage and going up and down can be a struggle if you are older.

Appartement confortable dans l'ensemble, propre et agréable. Jolie cuisine agencée. Cependant, dans l'appartement 1 chambre, il manque : 1 fauteuil supplémentaire + table basse dans le salon. Quelques tablettes en + dans la salle de bain pour poser du matériel. Une chaise ou 2 dans la chambre à coucher. Le logement est très central par rapport à la ville, la gare et autres transports pour des visites et activités, ce qui est son grand point positif.

Le seul bémol est la rue bruyante à certaines heures car beaucoup de passages de voitures.
