Professor Rousseau's Tiki Hideaway

Rooms were spacious and it was quiet at night. Location was convenient for my interests.

Building needs renovation desperately. Really old and dated, musty former smoker smell in the entire apartment, blinds needed replacement. Had to plug many holes with plastic bags so I could change clothes and sleep in privacy.

It was clean and comfortable

The location was relaxing & quiet. The grounds were well cared for with a dock at the waterway for fishing, benches to enjoy the outdoors and do some birdwatching. There was even a welcoming committee. Unfortunately our rainy weekend deterred us from partaking in the comraddery.

The sofabed had a lot to be desired

The apartment was comfortable and clean with great amenities. The tiki theme was well carried out. Morning coffee on the dock by the water was quietly enjoyed. Friends asked for booking info after coming to visit us while we were there.

We didn’t use the common grill area like we anticipated. It needs a little upgrade.

This is a very OLD FLORIDA rustic setting that was peaceful and quiet. The apartment was in a updated motel on a very private canal and felt very home-like. It is remote and rustic don't expect fancy but it is clean and well appointed. We had everthing we needed with one exception. The water system was not working properly and the water was YELLOW not smelly but just not useable for bathing or drinking. Luckily we were kayaking in the crystal clear river so a bath was unnecessary!
