Corfu OliveStone Village with Swimming pool

very easy, we arrived later in the evening and the keys were waiting for us in the keybox.

Wonderful nature, wonderful staff, wonderful house, wonderful cats. This place lets you really rest, away from the crowds, contemplating the view that never gets boring. The staff makes you feel taken care of and private at the same time. The house has everything you might ever need (we stayed at the Main House). Not to mention the pool, and the yoga house. This place is really something!

The location is quiet and peaceful, just down from the sleepy little old village of Argios Marcos with panoramic views of the bay - a perfect retreat from the buzzing, youth-filled resort of Ipsos some distance beneath. Yola, met us in the village and led us up the winding roads to the gated, walled haven and couldn’t do enough for us during our stay. Olive Stone villa is stunning. Our hosts Yosef and Litsa have thought of everything from the hammock on the balcony off one of the bedrooms, to the vegetable garden with juicy tomatoes ripe for picking from the vine for breakfast every morning, to the outdoor fridge and the indoor one complete with ice- maker and the outdoor gas bbq with outdoor dining spaces. The entire place was impeccably decorated and equipped with every facility you can think of. Immaculately clean, spacious and cool, it is a seemless melding of tradition and modern convenience. We stayed in the beautiful main house, flanked by similar smaller tastefully built accomodation which is nearing completion so was,at the time of our stay, as yet unoccupied. This meant we had absolute privacy at the pool - an added bonus but shared or not, the pool, its surrounds and the view are just breath-taking and there is ample space to lounge and swim. We had our 16 year old with us and he was happy too with access to WiFi and Netflix on a flat-screen Tv but to be honest he was just as happy exploring all the interesting nooks and crannies and hidden gems in the surroundings. There is a little uphill trail at the back of the villa which took us to the history-steeped village of Agios Markos where we ate lovely, simple Greek food and drank up the view and the moonjuice in the Panorama restaurant. Overall, we had a fantastic stay in Corfu and will be back again to this place with friends!!

We really could not fault where we stayed. The Corfu roads are nerve-wracking to drive and this is on a winding hill. It’s a bit of a walk to the shops in Ipsos but downhill. You’d have to be wary of stepping off the path in the dark but honestly, I’m clutching at straws trying to find something!

All stay was just perfect.
