Beautiful place, very stylish and smart. The service was incredible! The staff were on hand for anything and everything, they were kind, really considerate and passionate about their beautiful restaurant, bar and accommodation.

Usk is a beautiful place and conveniently placed on my journey; this was my third stay in Usk.

Not a problem for me as I didn’t need an early night and nor did I have small children with me, but some might find the music in the beer garden intrusive in warm weather (I had my rear, 2nd floor window open); and requesting a front bedroom instead might not work either due to the pub being right on the high street with juggernauts trundling through. The beer garden music did finish at c.10pm…but then there was an almighty crash (as happens in lots of pubs) when the glass bottles were all put in the recycling bin. This might be better done first thing in the morning rather than last thing at night, as a kindness to neighbours.

Staff are really friendly and the bed is comfortable. I usually get a backache sleeping in any bed that isn't mine, but I didn't here. Great room size and tasty breakfast.

Parking directions were a little confusing. It came across as if they had their own car park at the back of the free council one. But actually you park in the council one.

Usk is a beautiful little town and we were very happy with the hotel's proximity to the castle as we were there for a family wedding. The only drawback was the amount of traffic going directly under our bedroom window, hence the thoughtfully provided ear plugs!
