Silves Retreat by Algarve Golden Properties

O espaço exterior enorme com todas as comodidades. Ideal para os canídeos :) Serviço irrepreensível: pedimos 2 chapéus de sol e em 1/2 hora a Ana (e a sua simpatia) trouxe 2 chapéus a estrear :)

The Villa itself is a nice property in a nice quiet location between Silves and Lagoa and is very convenient as a bse to discover the entire Algarve. It has lots of grounds and is nice and private and the pool is big enough for a group. It has most of the appliances etc that you would expect in a Villa. Air con throughout etc.

Where to start. The Villa has not been well maintained in between rentals. The dishwasher was broken due to glass stuck in the pump. There is lots of clutter left around from both the owners and from previous guests. Broken inflatables near the pool and bits of broken bins and things in various parts of the property. Old cigarette butt's in a strange hanging metal container near the front door. The drive lights don't work properly and the remote control is missing so it took us 2 days to figure out that there was a fuse turned off in the main switchboard in the garage. They also flicker off and on as do the main house lights sometimes. The whole property needed a good clean. Screen door broken on one of the bedrooms with an outside door. The umbrellas near the pool are all broken and cannot be used and we only had enough towels for 4 to 6 people despite there being 8 of us. When the rep called from the letting agency to repair the dishwasher on the Wednesday (we were there since Saturday) she told me she would send more towels and a new umbrella but nothing arrived. We couldn't work the TV for most of our time there until she showed us as one of the remotes kept turning off the TV and there is no book as in most Villas to show you how everything works. The sweeping and dish brushes etc are all old and rusting. Gardeners came in the middle of the day on Friday so our last day was spent listening to 2 hours of hedge cutters and leaf blowers etc. This work needs to be done but surely in between rentals or early morning when pool not being used! Could be a lovely property if well maintained but could not recommend until all of these issues addressed.

Large outdoor area and shared spaces. The bedrooms were well equipped, spacious and the beds comfortable

The swimming pool was too cold to enjoy and most importantly and most importantly one of the bathrooms had no door handle from the inside, which means one could get locked inside. The amenities we quite old. The TV was old and wouldn't turn on and the washing machine also didn't work.

Bon emplacement, calme, équipements sympas à l’extérieur (barbecue, piscine)

A l’intérieur les équipements sont assez vieux, mais ça pose pas un vrai problème pour un séjour.
