Very limited variety for breakfast for western Europeans.

Unacceptable. Horrible. We check in. They assign us to a room. We check the room for bed bugs, and we find many signs of them (see pictures for what the bed in the hotel room looked like compared to what Google says bed bugs look like). We were absolutely disgusted. We immediately left the room (it was room 101) and asked for a refund or a different room. The horrible, rude 18 year old ish man at the front desk proceeded to inform us that ( a couple of defects in the mattress doesn’t mean that there are bugs )?!? We then demanded to speak to his manager, to which he informed us that despite looking about 18 years old at best, he was in fact the manager ?! He then told us that there were no other rooms available despite us seeing many empty rooms with doors open and few other guests. After around an hour of waiting he finally put us in a different room which was several floors away from the bed bugs. It had a very unclean floor, picking clothes off of the floor they were covered in dust ! We could barely sleep being worried about getting bed bugs. They were unkind, hostile and difficult. Not to mention that this hotel is in a horrible neighborhood and you should definitely stay in Göreme if at all possible instead. We then asked if they could do our laundry and she said it would be $30. Thirty United States dollars ?!? Unacceptable!

When we arrived, at 6pm, they put us in the wrong room, which was not cleaned. Then they told us our room we reserved had electrical issues. Then they wanted to put us in a lower priced room. Eventually, after asking multiple times, not wanting to go back to the uncleaned lesser priced room, they magically found a better room for us to stay for the night. The next day was a similar story of them putting us in a room. Then us asking if they had a specific one that was pictured on booking, them saying it wasn't available and then eventually it was available. We arranged to have breakfast in our room and it didn't happen. We were also told we could have breakfast on the roof with pillows and that wasn't arranged either. Only a couple staffers speak English. If you're visiting I suggest staying near Urgup.
