"Very enjoyable and very much appreciated at such short notice. Thank you."

9.0

The cottage is clean, warm and well equipped with plates, cutlery, pans etc. The finish of the modern interior is very good. The beds were very comfortable. It has great views from the back with a lovely enclosed garden. Information is clear regarding instructions for the use of appliances etc. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. I had arrived Boxing Day at short notice, needing somewhere to stay, and they were both helpful and accommodating, for which I am very grateful. In terms of the area, the cottage is well placed for walking the High Peak trail - a short distance away and visits out to Buxton, Ashbourne, Matlock and many other Derbyshire Dales and Peak District.

The cottage has a boiling tap. The owners had warned me about how hot this is and to use it safely. I am left handed and had held the tap on to use it, without initially realising that i was splashing boiling water onto my sleeve, which has resulted in a significant burn. I accept this is my responsibility, but do feel perhaps that the addition of a kettle to the property might be helpful so that people didn’t have to use the boiling tap at all if they didn’t want to.

"Very comfortable and well equipped - perfects for a break with dogs"

10.0

very well equipped and appointed, beautiful views and very dog friendly and secure. The lean too / boot room was great for wet dogs / wet weather gear before entering the main property. Great kitchen and bathroom. Amazing views from the property and private garden - should definately feature these in the property listing.

A slightly bigger sofa would be great, but as we were only there for 2 nights it was more than ample. A colander was the only thing missing in the kitchen.
