Sunrise Nemrut Güneş Motel

This is not a hotel, but it advertise as a one.

It’s a building that was built for a different purpose, but converted to a family use in the meantime, renting as a hotel.

Great location directly under mount nemrut. Walking time to the top about 40minutes. By car not even 5 minutes. You can drive almost to the top. From the car park it is maybe 3-4 minutes to the top. Parking on site at the hotel. Dinner and breakfast is included. Very simple and home-cooked, tastes good and does the job. Hotel is small and old, but clean. From our window we had a direct view onto mount nemrut.

We had a warm welcome. The location is perfect às it is located just next to the entrance of Nemrut East terrace. From there it takes 5 minutes by car to go up the hill and you can visit the statues without even walking. Homemade dinner was very delicious. The room is small but very clean.

Wifi is not very reliable and the phone reception is very weak.

The staff were my favourite thing. Hossein and his side kick were very nice guys. Very thoughtful and very good cooks. And I adored the fox that would visit each morning and night.

Upstairs was a little cold, but once I went to bed I didn’t notice it being cold.

The hotel is a basic one at the base of Nemrut site, within almost walking distance. Nothing fancy but it includes breakfast and dinner (no other food choices in the area, so definitely was well worth). The owner Huseyin was extremely friendly and helpful. We had some car trouble and he went out of his way to help us get back on the road (considering how remote the location is). He also does custom tours if interested.

Due to low season the heating to the rooms were off at time of arrival so the room took a while to warm up, so did the water for shower. You should also plan your trip carefully if you are going to visit the Nemrut site, as you cannot get to the hotel from the main entrance if you follow the signs, but must first get to the hotel and access the summit from that side of the mountain (there are multiple access points). The road up to the hotel from main road is quite a drive so you should give plenty of time for the ride before your visit (recommend checking in the hotel first and then go to the site).

Beds extremely comfortable. Staff warm and friendly. Perfect location. Nearest to Mt. Nemrut.

Would be nice to have a better shower place.

Impossible de faire des appels, wi-fi médiocre. Une prise seulement dans la chambre. Aucun chauffage alors qu’il faisait 0 Celcius. Pas vraiment de douche.Hotel très peu accessible comparativement aux autres.
