Beau lieu. Decoration très réussie. Le personnel est très gentil. On s'habitue a vivre a la bougie, mais pensez à prendre une lampe frontale si vous voulez lire dans votre chambre !

Cet endroit familial a beaucoup de charme, le temps y est suspendu…

+ friendly guesthouse owners, happy welcome + very very relaxed atmosphere, enenings and nights the place is lit by candles + no electricity in the rooms (however there's a central "electricity desk" to charge electronic devices) + good breakfast, optional good dinner + calm and cozy rooms, lots of hooks!, off a common sitting lounge + the house, incl. common bathrooms (lots of hooks, too!), is spotless clean + roof top terrace with great sea view, shady garden + environmental friendly (e.g. buckets which avoid waste of cold water and allows saving it for flowers in the garden) + good location (near beach, little shops & cafes, bus station) I do not understand the bad ratings for the WiFi: it's fast and efficient in the central WiFi-Zone as indicated (despite it isn't offered in the rooms, it does often work there as well, whereas it is the other way round in "everywhere-WiFis" in other places)

I booked the room in the morning for the next day and received as usual booking's confirmation for reservation & payment. A few minutes later the guest house stated the reservation and payment ist n o t confirmed yet. It seems there have been problems updating reservation and payment data in the past, ending in double-reservations or no-shows. It is a wise service of the guest-house to avoid this by firstly double-check and secondly confirm. However it brought me in an uncomfortable situation of not knowing whether I have a room the next day: Im my recent hotel I had to say whether I ll check out the next day or stay longer (which could have ended in two reservations), I could neither cancel the newly booked room (full price would be charged) nor reach the guest-house to solve it. My only option was waiting in uncertainty and disconfort :-/ *** not clear wether it's the booking's or guest-house's fault, whatever: the problem is there - it must be sorted out! Nevertheless booking - the bigger party with more options - should help to find a solution. It's no good, leave both guesthouses and costumers in uncertainty ***

This house has a unique vibe.

Maybe I'm not careful enough but I totally missed that there is no electricity/lamp in the rooms. If you choose it, could be fine, but as a surprise, it was not ok. Also, our bed was full with sand and hair when we got the room and the water was not going down in the bathroom. For this, the price was not fair at all - paid less for a cosy, well equipped room in Essaouria...

Only candle lights, no electric lights. Creates a special magic. Amazing rooftop terrace. Great atmosphere during dinner time with all the candles. Friendly staff. Highly recommended classic in Sidi Kaouki.
