Stanley Cottage, Greenford

The space is great, its really nice what you've done with it. The coffee and food making facilities were a nice touch. The bed is comfy, smart TV, plenty of towels and bed linen if needed. Cosy.

I I booked this space through Booking.com, entered my card details, and assumed everything was confirmed. The next day, however, I received emails demanding a £200 security deposit, a copy of my ID, and a signed contract. I also discovered that payment hadn’t actually been taken through Booking.com — instead, I had to follow a separate link and re-enter all my details. If this had been made clear in the listing, I would not have booked. As it stands, it feels deliberately hidden. On arrival, the basics were also disappointing. My wife is pregnant, yet there was no toilet roll provided, and the outdoor bins were overflowing. By the following morning, wildlife had scattered rubbish across the ground, which I ended up having to clean up myself. Also there is no bin inside the space, just the small one in the bathroom but it had no bin liner in it either. If you’re going to impose such strict requirements on guests, the least you can do is ensure that the basics are taken care of.

The size of the fridge, way to small

Compared to other holiday apartments in a similar price range, the furnishings are of higher quality and more comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised, felt at home straight away and would book again. The management responded to inquiries quickly, in a friendly and helpful manner.

Since it is a new apartment, smaller items such as a broom or a trash can were missing.

Room was not ready. It was messed up from use from last customer. I did not receive my key at all. Someone had to climb the fence to open the door... I was disappointed by the lack of care... It was cleaned hours later... I had to leave the premises unplanned the very next day as I felt unsafe. There is potential for improvement. The oweners need to be serious about the room...
