USNot recommended. I decided to save some money since I only needed a couple of hours of sleep. I didn’t want to do it at the airport or in the car, plus I wanted to take a shower. I chose this hostel because it had mostly positive reviews and a reasonable price. However, now I realize that sleeping in my car might have been a better option. The hostel description stated that alcohol was not tolerated, but as soon as I walked in and opened the door, I immediately noticed a strong smell of alcohol – most likely from the guests. Later that evening, when I stepped outside, I saw a couple sitting on the porch with a small guitar. From the smell, it was obvious they were smoking marijuana, and judging by the bottle, drinking whiskey. Then came my biggest disappointment. By 11 PM, it was too late to go anywhere else. I climbed onto my bed on the top bunk and immediately noticed that the sheets were wrinkled. When I lay down, I felt crumbs and sand – everything was itchy and uncomfortable. Clearly, someone had already slept in this bed, and they didn’t even bother to change the sheets. It’s hard to describe how disgusting it felt, but at that point, there was no other option. It was extremely hot on the top bunk, even though it’s only March. The air conditioning barely worked. The guy sleeping on the bottom bunk at least had some kind of fan. But on the top bunk, there was nothing, and the heat was unbearable. I can’t even imagine how hot it gets here in the summer if it’s already like this in March. The worst part was that I had already paid, and there was no way to get a refund. The furniture in the room was broken. The shower was wet and dirty, with mold on the walls and hair all over the place. I deeply regret spending my money here and wish I could get a refund.
USThe location. Everyone was ideal, bed was soft. The food was good as well.
I woke up to the room door cracked twice while sleeping when to my knowledge it was closed as well as locked.
USGreat location, lots of fresh fruit and veggies up for grabs. There were also home cooked meals. The people there would engage in conversation and also let you be if you wanted to do your own thing. I had great conversations with some of the people there.
USHappy for the coffee in the morning. There was no breakfast. Carri and Bridgette were wonderful. Most of the folks who were staying there were great.
