Pension Les Trois Cascades

Our whanau of 8 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pension Les Trois Cascades. Our shuttle driver waited for us at Raiatea airport even though our flight was delayed 10/10. Our shuttle driver kindly stopped at Carrefour, Raiatea and waited while we purchased groceries for our stay 10/10. We were shown to our accommodation immediately upon arrival 10/10. The shared rooms had air-con and a big comfortable bed 10/10. The shared shower and toilet facilities were excellent with both hot and cold running water 10/10. The bungalow had excellent amenities, cooktop stove, oven grill, microwave and washing machine all of which we made full use of 10/10. Our hosts Cyrille and Bruno were very hospitable organising a shuttle to taje us to Taputapuatea Marae 10/10. The location of Les Trois Cascades enabled us to enjoy a tour of the whole island and we were lucky enough to visit Raiatea Pearls 10/10. We will definitely be back👍

Les moustiques mais cela ne dépend pas de la pension mais du climat humide ! On fait avec et on kiff quand même le séjour !!

Un peu isolé

The Pension has several bungalows which I am not reviewing. We were in a small room sharing 2 toilette rooms and 2 small shower rooms with two to three people each in three rooms in the adjacent narrow hallway. The toilettes and showers were cleaned well once a day. There is a common eating and kitchen area. The staff will bring in takeaway from local restaurants for anyone requesting breakfast or dinner. Everyone cleans up their own dishes. The managers were friendly and helpful when asked. For example, they hired a car for us when we wanted to drive around the island and taxi when we needed them for transport. Several of the people staying made use of the Excursion Bleu, which they thought was well done. The garden was very pretty and well maintained.

This is a difficult review. There is some possible overcrowding in the hostel area depending on how people come and go. Our room was a small space with a few hangers on which to hang our inevitably wet clothes to dry. No closet; we worked out of our cases open on the floor. The rooms were what I would expect in an old youth hostel. They did not seem to match the photos on Booking, many of which may have been photos of the bungalows. Particularly, the building itself needs refurbishing. Our windows opened up to hear people conversing in the main common eating area and kitchen. Ra'iatea has no snorkelling beaches to speak of and nothing like lagoon access for swimming. The managers as helpful as they were, were not as personable as were the family owners at other places where we have stayed on other islands. They did not provide free transport to and from the ferry as did many other places we stayed on other islands. The kitchen did have enough cutlery and crockery for the amount of people staying in the hostel.

Nous avons adoré la sympathie des responsables. C'est une pension avec une écoute remarquable et toujours disponible et à l'écoute de ses hôtes. Je conseille vivement cet hébergement.

Il est très important d'avoir un véhicule pour se déplacer à partir de cet hébergement.
