Firstly, I must mention how incredible Carol was – our arrival time changed drastically due to stopping at St Francis on the way, and she was so accommodating, waiting until 10:30pm for us to arrive. She showed us around the house, gave us plenty of information, and even sent me a text with absolutely everything we could wish to do locally! She really is a gem. The house itself is just incredible. The beds were so comfortable, and it was truly amazing to be surrounded by such beautiful scenery. It really is a haven away from it all, yet so close to Plett, which is absolutely stunning and has so much to offer. If you book a stay at Moonshine, you won’t be disappointed. We opted for the daily maid service for an additional charge, which was really worthwhile. It’s worth noting that there are no clothes washing facilities due to the use of rainwater only – the fact that you bathe in rainwater is incredible and makes the experience feel even more special. We also loved the filtered water tap in the kitchen! If I could offer any constructive feedback about the house, it would be to put bins in the bedrooms – this was literally the only thing I could think of, and it’s a very minor point! The shower gel and hand wash are beautiful and natural too. An amazing stay – I highly recommend it! Thanks Charlotte x

The property is beautiful and the cabin fitted right into the surroundings, yet, is trendy and lovely decorated and has everything you need; hot or cold, rain or shine

Really an absolute gem! The room was tucked away in the forest, extremely quiet, very clean. The owner is a wonderful lady that made sure we were comfortable. The view was stunning, the shower really stole the show. They are busy with upgrades and I look forward to coming back again. Also they have a little note to say they do have WIFI and not to expect much as you are in the bush, but the WIFI was excellent! I also loves that you can recycle and compost.

The only thing was that the jungle gyms were being upgraded so my little one didn't get to go on it but there is plenty else to do in the area that it didn't affect us that much and the bonus is I'm sure the upgrade will look amazing.
