Spacious and charming home

We really enjoyed this pretty house, we came for work, there is a lot of space..

Great location. Clean. Good neighborhood. Theatre room was so fun for the kids. And they enjoyed having a TV in every bedroom.

A/C did not work well upstairs. However, there were two box fans in the house when we got there. Had to purchase two more and that helped. Without the fans, upstairs rooms were scorching in the mornings while downstairs was freezing. We did have to kill a few wasps in one of the bedrooms, but are unsure where they were getting in. Kitchen cooking utensils were sparse. I’m sure most people eat out frequently. But with a family of 8, we wanted to cook at the house more. I ended up buying a skillet and pizza pan, along with some disposable pans to get by. There were plenty of bowls, plates, cups.

Good area in the neighborhood. Stores very close. Host seemed nice over the phone.

Unfortunately, it’s a where to start situation. So much to say. For starters, the AC is not working correctly, the upstairs was DREADFULLY hot and the downstairs FREEZING even when you turned the air off it was still going, there was almost no toilet paper, trash bags, etc. we were led to believe it was full amenities. The backyard was absolutely gross looking, the grill we were told was there was nasty & the fire pit was not usable. We had three different shelves/racks fall on people, they are BARELY held into walls by tiny nails and the projector shelf fell on our son’s head & my wrist, it is just held in by staples. The back door is very unsafe & the handle is breaking. Downstairs shower head was awful and did not work at all, literally just trickled out. Upstairs tub is clogged to the point of making it very hard to use. Found trash, including used tissues and wipes in various rooms and behind nightstands, couldn’t use downstairs tub as we turned it on and there seemed to be what looked like mold floating in it. There were no bath mats provided either, which was simply unsafe. There is some kind of chiming system outside as a motion detector and it chimes incessantly inside at all hours. Saturday before 9am we were woken up by yard work in the front & back yard, it went on for a very long time & woke the whole house up. It was so loud we had to move rooms multiple times to just enjoy our coffee. We had to go purchase hand soap, trash bags, toilet paper, everything upon arrival as well. All in all, it was so disappointing, definitely well overpriced. We took our oldest on a trip as our special needs daughter is preparing to have procedures over the summer and we were hoping for a better time. Definitely could have stayed at a hotel with better accommodations and cheaper. We were looking forward to hanging out in the backyard with a fire, unfortunately that was not happening.

Nice house, location, clean! Would be helpful to leave tv passwords and wifi and media movie room instructions on the table. The backyard would be great with a patio set.

Roomy and good for the 4 grands.

Outdated kitchen and very limited cooking utensils. Could not even make cookies or pizza without purchasing a cookie sheet or pizza pan. TV’s very outdated. Recommend installing Roku, Samsung, or LG. They do it all. Backyard needs some sorta furniture to sit in around the could be fire pit. House has potential and much better than a hotel.
