The Nest Haven Hostel

I think it’s great that the stay included breakfast, while simple it is definitely filling. The best part of the stay has got to be the staff itself and here, I would like to commend Maria for the care given to me especially when I unfortunately fell ill. She not only regularly checked on my comfort and condition but also offered sound advice. One of my best stays for sure.

While the location is more than ideal, just a note that those light sleepers might find it slightly difficult to fall asleep as it’s quite near to a popular street food corner. However, it only stays open till 1am I think and besides, you can always catch a nap during the day which was what I did. Overall, a great stay!

1. While they have tried to maintain the place, the house is very old with broken down facilities. 2. While it wasn't a big problem for me, it's important to know that no hot shower and the shower head is broken, such that you have to take a bath while holding it like a pipe. 2. No AC, and the fan is very close to the top bunk bed, yet the room is a bit hot 3. The area is not very good and apart from the mall nearby, there is nothing much to do around 4. We missed breakfast allegedly because we woke up late, something that hadn't been mentioned, and no one tried to call us (We were awake already chilling in the room).

Breakfast was something really simple, black tea and bread. Location was good

That the toilet was faulty and we were asked not to throw tissue into the toilet after using toilet, this is really uncomfortable.

The host Maria was very helpful, with information to navigate through the city. The hostel was very clean and I loved it.

The place was clean for sure

The wifi is not strong and being a foreigner that was a big challenge, its also a bit far from the main town, sharing a room with both genders was also a challenge to me, yes i knew it's a shared hostel but I thought if it's a female room then it's pure female and vice versa was shocked a bit and felt uncomfortable. But cleanliness was top notch

Terrible stay. No water. No AC or proper working fan in the room. Room was like a sauna. Unable to sleep. Other guest reverted to sleeping on the floor it was that hot. Ended up leaving the hostel in the middle of the night to find somewhere with better facilities. Found a nearby hotel with private room, running water and AC for $12, $3 more that what this hostel was charging, which is an absolute joke for the poor amenities!
