The cottage was lovely.Well equipped, clean, and everything you can need.A lovely log burner. A great location for the Thursford Christmas show, which we went to see, only about a mile away. Its a must see!! We would like to go again and explore the Norfolk coast. The other previous guests, who had written in the guest book, had written all good and positive things too.

Nothing we didn't like all good thank you.

Good location Log burner Comfy lounge Welcome treats

Very weak shower - couldn’t wash my hair properly. It was also either freezing cold or burning hot (no in between) We called the contact number as we struggled to find the property, nobody answered and nobody returned the call for our whole stay. I requested early access and it wasn’t approved until after we checked out at the end of our stay.

"Overall it was a lovely cottage to stay in and if we were in that area again would stay again."

9.0

quiet location with off road parking.

We arrived in the dark and it was difficult to find as the numbers of the houses did not follow on. We found a block of houses numbered. Then we expected to find the one we were staying in but there were a few more houses in-between It didn't really make sense. I had to go walking down the road with my phone torch on to find it whilst also speaking to the host's manager. Just a hint, if not stayed there before, try and arrive before dark so you can see the number and name of cottage.

"Poor communication from agent"

6.0

Pretty cottage nice fire in quiet location.

All booked ages ago and the communication from the agent was v v poor in particular on arrival.couldn't get key code had to keep calling , no messages answered . Eventually got hold of someone to be told they didn't know we were arriving ? Not sure why as all paid for and confirmed twice told by agent property not cleaned for our arrival. Fridge was not clean , fire still full of ashes. Oven not clean and back door full of slobbery dog marks . To add to all of this the bathroom light wasn't working not great when its winter and knowone came to fix when reported. Last night we had a planned power cut not Informed previously and in the middle of cooking a roast so had to go out as sitting in pitch black no candles nothing. Contacted the agent yet again to say we were not happy. Awaiting a proper reply from the owner and reported to booking .com

"Cosy cottage, short distance to coast"

6.0

It is a cosy little cottage, and nicely located to reach various places along the coast. We didn’t use the kitchen for cooking but it seemed to be well equipped, and the radiators upstairs warmed it up quickly when it got chilly in the evening. A couple of miles up the road in Binham were The Parlour and The Chequers Inn which both did wonderful food and dog friendly.

Unfortunately it’s lacking attention to detail in a few areas. The place needs a deep clean; a few cobwebs are forgivable, but it was things like the ground floor tiles that were in need of a thorough clean, and sand had collected at the edge of the rug. When sat on the sofa an old Liquorice Allsort revealed itself between the cushions and the fur throw had a bad smell to it. The garden also needs a tidy up, it seemed quite neglected. The shower is very weak, I think making this better with at least a new shower head would go a long way. And the duvet in the main bedroom was very lumpy. There was also a complimentary bag of crisps there when we arrived, whilst I understand this is just a thoughtful gesture, I think if it’s going to be done it would make more sense and be better appreciated if this was a nice locally made offering (cake?). Most cottages I’ve stayed offer a local or homemade treat on arrival (with the crisps we weren’t sure if they’d just been left behind by someone before us). I think some simple improvements would make the cottage a lovely place to stay.

"Lovely location but is overpriced"

6.0

Location was great and it was very peaceful. Lots of games provided. Bikes available too even though we didn’t use them.

The shower is not fit for purpose. It wasn’t particularly clean. When we first arrived, there was an overwhelming smell of bleach in the bedroom which was very unpleasant. If you want to use the dining table then you have to pull it out which then blocks the lounge doorway.
