Affreschi con vista Ducale

Our stay at Affreschi con vista Ducale was nothing short of extraordinary. The apartment is a true masterpiece of taste and beauty, set in a magnificent historic building with a marble Neptune fountain in the courtyard. The highlight is the grand salon, where the frescoed ceiling and the breathtaking views of Palazzo Ducale and the Church of Santi Ambrogio and Andrea create an unforgettable atmosphere. Living here feels like stepping back into Genoa’s glorious past while enjoying every modern comfort. The apartment is furnished with elegance and refinement, and the outstanding library adds a special touch — you cannot help but feel like an erudite descendant of those who once built this remarkable city. The location could not be more perfect: all of Genoa’s treasures, still surprisingly underrated as a destination, are within easy walking distance. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to stay in such a magical place. We will certainly return at the first opportunity, and next time for a longer stay.

Una struttura unica nel suo genere dove ci siamo sentiti a casa. Abbiamo trovato tutto il necessario e ci è dispiaciuto lasciarla. Complimenti alla proprietaria Elisa che ha avuto la fortuna di trascorrerci l'infanzia. Verrebbe voglia di replicare la stessa casa anche nella propria abitazione. Vista top!

Het appartement is heel erg ruim, niet te vergelijken met een hotelkamer. Een ruime keuken, grote zitkamer, 2 slaapkamers. En dan die locatie: middenin de stad. Beter kan niet. Als je de stad wilt ontdekken is dit appartement een absolute aanrader.

Die Lage mitten in der Altstadt ist perfekt. Alles fußläufig erreichbar. Bushaltestelle und Taxen direkt um die Ecke. Auf der Straße selber jede Menge Gelegenheiten leckeres Essen zu finden. Die Wohnung war sehr persönlich eingerichtet und hat uns einen kleinen Einblick in das Leben der Besitzer gegeben. Das alte Gebäude, der Boden in der Wohnung, die Einrichtung … das war eine kleine Zeitreise durch verschiedenste Epochen.

It was a little like being in an Italian movie or photo shoot. The front room is gorgeous with giant windows with a partial view of the piazza in front of the ducal palace. We got lucky to be there on an evening when the philharmonic was playing in the piazza and it was like having the perfect balcony seats. Super spacious, and very comfrotable furniture. I always like places like these that feel more like someone's home than somebody's poorly curated IKEA choices. It's just splendid and the only regret is not having had much of a chance to cook on the restaurant quality stove.

The only bad thing I could say is that if you are there when there is some public event going on outside in the piazza late at night, then you might hear some noise, though that said it is easy to close doors between rooms and even with a loud concert going on we could hardly hear it when we went to bed. Nothing really bad to say about this place.

This appartment was just wonderdul! Its so much bigger than it is in pictures, beautiful old architecture and very nice style. The owner Elise is so pleasant, accomodating and helpful, she was a pleasure to talk too and everything as far as communication and check in process was as smooth as can be. Locafion is wonderful, right in old town near many great attractions, lots of restaurants and bars and shopping. We loved it and when we are back in Genova will definitely stay here again!
