Luxury Nomadic Tented Camp

Una collega ne parlava da mesi. Alla fine l'ho ascoltata. Il campo era curato e pulito, il cibo abbondante e vero — non quella roba adattata ai turisti. Ma la cosa che non mi aspettavo: la gente del posto. Una sera un ragazzo dello staff si è seduto con noi e ha cominciato a parlare del deserto, di come ci è cresciuto, di come lo vive ogni giorno. Nessuno lo aveva chiesto. Nessuno voleva che smettesse. Certe conversazioni non si dimenticano. Tornerò, questa volta con più tempo.

Three weeks travelling through Morocco and Merzouga was the last stop. Thought I'd be too tired to care by then. Wasn't. Checked in, dropped my bag, walked outside and just stood there. Dunes as far as you can see, not a sound. The camp itself was clean and well looked after, food was generous and really tasty. Slept like I haven't in years. Woke up, someone brought tea without being asked, sat outside. Did absolutely nothing for an hour. Best hour of the trip. Not bad at all, eh.

Came for a night, stayed three days. The camp was clean, comfortable, food was incredible — kept going back for more. Staff were warm without being in your face. Evenings by the fire with mint tea and good company.. didn't want it to end. One of those trips you don't plan to love but you do. Highly recommend

On a réservé sur un coup de tête et franchement.. bonne pioche. Arrivés au coucher du soleil, les dunes qui virent à l'orange, au rouge — on a même pas sorti les téléphones tellement c'était beau. Le dîner traditionnel sous le ciel étoilé était vraiment bon, généreux, tout fait maison. Et la nuit.. ce silence-là, on n'en revient pas. Autour du feu avec les locaux, le thé, les percussions — à un moment on s'est retrouvés à chanter avec eux sans même s'en rendre compte. Merzouga c'est le genre d'endroit qui te prend par surprise.

Buf, no sé ni por dónde empezar. Llegamos al atardecer y lo primero que vimos fueron las dunas cambiando de color.. naranja, rojo, dorado — todo en cuestión de minutos. El paseo en camello fue una pasada, y la cena tradicional bajo las estrellas estaba buenísima. Lo que más me sorprendió fue la noche — ese silencio tan profundo que casi se escucha. Fuego, tambores, té con los locales.. acabamos cantando hasta las tantas haha. Merzouga te deja sin palabras. Repetimos seguro.

Buf, la noche en el campamento del desierto fue una pasada. El sitio estaba limpio y mucho mejor de lo que imaginábamos. Las dunas con el atardecer eran una locura, no se puede explicar bien con palabras. La cena muy rica, y luego quedarnos alrededor del fuego mirando las estrellas.. eso fue lo mejor de todo el viaje, con diferencia. Repetimos seguro!

Really lovely night honestly. The camp was clean and really well looked after, way better than we expected. The dunes at sunset were just.. wow. Dinner was great too and then sitting round the fire after with the stars out — that was probably our favourite moment of the whole trip. Would 100% recommend, don't hesitate.

Spending a night in the desert was something we had always wanted to do, and it did not disappoint. The dunes are beautiful and the camp atmosphere is very relaxing. The tents were clean and the food was very good.

If you want to experience the real beauty of the desert, this is the perfect place. The camel ride through the dunes at sunset and the quiet night under the stars created memories we will never forget.
