ZAZAZA1. Upon arrival at 7pm on 06 Oct, the Pearl Cottage Guest House indicated that they had not been notified of our booking by Booking.com and thus had no space for us, so we were stranded. Booking.com was also not available via telephone to assist us. In our stranded state (wife, 2 daughters and myself), we had no choice but to use two rooms that had not been prepared for guests; 2. Towels provided to one room a night later, and to the other room two nights later; 3. Both rooms had TVs and aircons that did not work; 4. No generator, or candles, or lamps, during loadshedding; 5. One bathroom did not have a working light, and the other room shower had no door. Despite reporting this to the staff on night one, this light was never repaired even to the day we left, i.e. 9 Oct. I BELIEVE THE LODGE HAD AMPLE TIME TO ADDRESS SOME OF OUR CONCERNS DURING THE PERIOD OF OUR STAY. Overall, it was a terrible experience but we had no choice noting the lateness of the hour on 6 Oct. My telephonic interaction with Pearl, upon expressing my concern on arrival on 6 Oct, regarding a refund indicated I was to take the matter up with Booking.com as you had not communicated our booking with her, and that the Lodge was only going to be paid 7 days after our stay. So my experience with Booking.com itself has been terrible as I could not reach you upon being stranded 600kms away from home, in the night, and after receiving your notification of booking as well as a reminder of booking. I'm hoping to get a telephone call from Booking.com after reading my comments here.

No backup light/lamp during load shedding No twin plug sockets to charge phones No kettle to make coffee or any coffee cups We were expecting 2 bath sheets since we were a couple, but we only got 1 Please remove pieces of soap in the bathroom . Nomatter how cheap the place is, cleanliness should be a must
ZAUnfortunately nothing much the bed was ok everything else was disappointing.
Pretty much everything other than the bed. The place wasn't clean, just in general nothing like the pics show online, very disappointed. Shabby pillows no hot water TV not working properly fridge wasn't working 😞 tinfoil on extraction fan was noisy even while off just not a good experience at all.
