"Characterful building and gardens"

Beautiful old building in a beautiful setting not too far from the motorway. Very comfortable bed. Good breakfast.

The restaurant was not open on the night we arrived. This was not mentioned on the booking.com website. It was a BIG downside to our visit. We had driven for 10 hrs and just wanted to relax with a drink and dinner without going out again in the car. Do not come here on a Wednesday if you want food or drinks here. The shower cubicle was rather small.

The bed mattress is too soft and the curtains let the light comes in in the early morning,
