Southern Haven Beach House

Great location and very friendly neighbourhood. The host Laura was extremely friendly with great communication.

Could have been a bit cleaner and had more utensils in the kitchen

Laura, the host, was extremely accomodating. The place was not what I needed, though adequately represented by photos. Laura was very, very understanding when I asked to change plans, coming to a mutual agreement. Her warmth and kindness made all the difference.

The place has high windows, so you can't see out easily. I hadn't noticed in the photos, which is on me. Laura offered another place, but I chose to move from town into the mountains. She did all she could to accomodate me.

Great location, right near the beach. The host was very flexible & accommodated my needs.

Laura the manager was very helpful. The apartment was in clean, excellent condition with all the amenities you need. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the outside balcony to have breakfast in the morning and drinks in the evening. The location was very good with shops, restaurants and bars within a minute walk. The maxi service is very good through the day and is enjoyable way to meet locals, also a fraction of the cost of taxis which are very expensive.

No issues with the apartment but some comment about the village. 1. There is no ATM in Laborie so have cash a few bars and two restaurants take cards. 2. The nearest supermarket which has the best range and prices is Massey in Fort Vieux. 3, The better beach Laborie is a 5 minute walk from the apartment but sea was too rough during our visit to go in the water. 4. Probably the best restaurant in Laborie is Cafe en Vie , a must for cooked breakfast and a good selection of dishes for lunch and dinner. Last orders 8pm. Most restaurants close by 9pm and bars by 10 pm during the week.

Great location to watch village life right by the beach watching the boats come in and selling their fish. Lots of buses to town for a couple of ec dollars. Lots of bars and a couple of decent restaurants.

Minimal cooking/cleaning facilities No welcome instructions indicating where to find things, nearest bank, recommended places to eat, Wifi code, etc. Poor communication - no communication after initial booking; felt host was overworked with too many guests and we only managed to check in on arrival because the cleaner happened to be leaving the property Unfair pricing - we didn't receive any airport transfers, which were included in the price, and only offered a refund for the taxi fare we had to pay to get to the property after raising the issue

This property is in the heart of downtown Laborie. It had the authentic feel of island life, without any kind of overcrowded hyper-tourist feel. The locals were very hospitable and friendly. The do not hassle you for sales. The property has basic groceries, multiple restaurants, and a local beach all within easy walking distance. You can use the island's mini-bus system to inexpensively travel to nearby larger cities. Our host was incredible. She made sure we had everything we needed. She was also very helpful for learning about the town and local area. We would love to return!

This property is in the heart of downtown Laborie. You will experience all of the authentic sights and sounds of island life: roosters, dogs, people, and the ocean. It is also adjecent to the local fishermen's area. Island life starts early in the morning. If you enjoy sleeping in, you'd best bring ear plugs.

I love the whole property just in front of the beach with all the facilities you need to have some amazing days
