Oak Grange holiday cottage

From the first moment we arrived at the cottage everything was just fabulous, the size, decor, furnishings, equipment, cleanliness, fresh milk, eggs, bread and butter. The outside areas were perfect too and with the weather being so good we had the chance to enjoy it! WiFi very good. All information provided including local walks. It was a brilliant weekend getaway even if we do live only 30 minutes drive away. It was so quiet too, the cottage being set deep in the country. Lottie our host was lovely, extremely helpful and kind. We would definitely love to return, and highly recommend anyone wanting a luxury retreat any time of the year to consider Oak Grange!

Everything was perfect!!

Absolute perfection!

The cottage was bigger than we expected, which was great. The rooms were tastefully decorated and spacious. We loved the light and access to the garden. It was brilliant for entertaining, and all the equipment was provided. We loved having the ducks in the pond, sitting in the garden watching them and hearing their splashes in the water, was very relaxing. The grounds were beautiful, and the garden was safe for dogs and children. Our dog loved the place. In the grounds were sheep, a Shetland pony, and chickens. The folder provided loads of useful information with great directions for local walks.The walks gave us views of fields of gold. We saw dear running free, hawks, lots of other birds, hares, and huge dragon flies. Honestly, you could just stay at the cottage for the whole of your stay without visiting anywhere else because it's so comfortable and the area surrounding is stunning. Lottie, our host, was fab. Nothing was too much trouble. We loved our stay and would definitely go again. Thank you for providing such an idilic getaway.

The only thing we didn't like were the flies, but they went with the territory. Lottie provided all the means to deal with the pests. We couldn't find a fishslice, but every other utensil was provided. A squeegee for the shower would be useful.

The peacefulness of the location, the beautiful property with everything you need to enjoy your break, cleanliness and attention to detail. The host was lovely and wanted to make our stay as perfect as possible. Definitely return!

All was excellent

Clear instructions on how to get there. Plenty of space, both indoor and outdoor. Nice sized kitchen, dining room and living room, with high end fittings. Great attention to detail. Both bedrooms had en-suites. Owner had kindly left bottles of water, fresh milk, bread and eggs so we didn’t have to go to the shops to prepare breakfast. Ducks in the little lake, robins on the lawn, huge outside table that would be perfect for barbecues. Raised area with 2 loungers to catch the sun.
