Rumah Pagar Merah Homestay

The hosts are lovely, made us feel very welcome at all times and helped us to book trains online. They also allowed us to store our luggage and shower after check out before our night train. Cooked breakfast are nice and great value. The house is just a ten minute walk from the train station and malioboro street.

From the moment we arrived it was very easy to settle in. They offered us tea and snacks before we went up to our room which was nice and quiet. The food was great and the family who runs the hotel were very friendly and helpful in every way. The location was great because it was set back off the main road and yet it was easy to get and around to the main attractions. When visiting Yogyakarta again in the future I would always come back to Rumah Pagar Merah Homestay.

There was nothing to dislike, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rumah Pagar Merah Homestay. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and help coordinate our day trips and even toured us down to the river and through the neighborhood behind the homestay. Wonderful people.

The host family was very sweet. Not all of them spoke English well, but they were very involved with how we were doing and even offered us tea and sweets. The room itself is somewhat basic but very comfortable. It’s nice that it’s in an alley, a bit away from the main street.

There was no sink, which meant we had to wash our hands by using the shower.

Ited and her husband are very friendly and helpful about everything.

This accommodation was well located, close to the city centre and very close to the train station. The room was clean and spacious with comfortable bed and well working AC, wifi work great as well. The hosts were amazing, very kind and helpful. They help us with renting a motorbike for a fair price, advise us interesting places around and draw it to our attention it's necessary to have an online reservation to Borobudur and Prambanan temple. Because we stayed couple of night there, the host provide us interesting breakfast which was simply, but was local and it was great experience for us.

There was no wash-basin in our room, but we didn't mind. There is cold water in the shower only, but because days were very hot, it was no problem and shower were refreshing for us.

We had the most amazing time at this Homestay! The Hosts were incredibly kind, super helpful and such hospitality we never experienced before at a homestay. It actually felt like a second home. I’m gonna miss my new aunty and my uncle! Thanks for being so wonderful people ♥️

We had a lovely stay! Great location because it’s within walking distance to the train station and the lively city center Malioboro. The owners, Ited and her husband, are really kind and helpful. They helped us with renting a motorbike and gave us tips about some locations we visited. Ited even made us Guave juice when we left! Although we were next to a busy road, the hostel design gave a peaceful atmosphere, which made us feel very comfortable. The room is nice and clean. You can also order some local breakfast for a cheap price. Great place to stay, really recommend!

The place is very clean, room are well furnished, and the location is great. Nothing to say about the room. But I loved the owners, from the arrival till the goodbye it was a pleasure to meet them. They really receive you as if you were part of the family and they help you with any problem (my backpack was broken so they took care of it for almost nothing, I needed a motorbike so someone let me one at the hotel for a fairly cheap price, they adapted to my breakfast time and shared a dinner with me). It was really pleasant to be there, thanks a lot for that!

We had an amazing stay in this homestay. We felt very welcomed since our arrival by the lovely couple of hosts. They are incredibly kind. They took great care of us and helped us for everything we needed. We even spent an awesome evening with them and their friends playing music. They definitely know how to create a friendly and joyful atmosphere. We strongly recommend this place to stay in this very nice city!
