Parsonage House, Badminton

A beautiful big house in the countryside and only a 10 minute walk through a park to Badminton House. The owners were extremely welcoming. We had a cup of tea and biscuits in the garden on arrival in the sunshine, which was lovely after a long drive. The house is nicely appointed and well within reach of Bath and various other local areas of interest. The friendly and generous nature of the owners coupled with a beautiful breakfast and very comfortable rooms make this place a very enjoyable visit.

Hotel room was nice and had lovely touches of character.

A certain staff members tone was very rude and a little sarcastic if I’m honest. Not as accommodating to the older generation either I felt.

Liz and John were extremely welcoming, thoughtful and flexible. Their communication was excellent and pro-active from the moment of booking. Whilst we wanted for nothing, we felt that nothing was too much trouble for them. They are very knowledgeable and familiar with things to do in the local area; what to visit and where to eat, so if you are looking for ideas or inspiration, don’t hesitate to ask them. They had plenty of time for us, they are both interesting and a real pleasure to chat to. Liz and John set us up nicely for our days out with a yummy breakfast of croissants, pain au chocolat, toast with a selection of jams and marmalade, fruit, yoghurts, juices and freshly made coffee and tea. The property is lovely, sitting right on the edge of the Badminton estate, and if you are gifted with lovely weather as we had then the garden is wonderful place to sit and relax (and chat with Liz and John). Of course, we can't forget to mention Squiggles, the four legged trotting member of their family - a beautiful friendly animal, but try not be jealous that Squiggles has the best accommodation of all at the Parsonage! We would highly recommend the Parsonage just on the hosts alone!

My Daughter and I stayed at Parsonage House as we were competing in the Spartan Race - the event was a 4 minute drive from the house which was absolutely perfect for us. The house is stunning and located in the beautiful village of Badminton, immaculately clean room and bathroom and the host Elizabeth was incredibly lovely and accommodating, she really went the extra mile to make us feel welcome . Tea in the gardens and a continental breakfast in the morning were a lovely touch to our stay. We will be back competing in the 2025 Spartan race and as soon as I have the dates confirmed I will be re booking to come and stay here - it’s simply stunning.

Not a thing!! The hosts and the property were exceptional, would highly recommend a stay here.

very little really, the only slight gripe was the shower in the bathroom being a bit archaic

The hosts were so welcoming, nothing was to much trouble and they went above and beyond to make our stay feel like we were not in a hotel, but a home from home. Beautiful gardens which we took advantage of and a fabulous continental breakfast served up in a stunning room. Bedrooms were large and very comfortable, we slept like logs in this very peaceful location
