The Dragon Tree Guesthouse

the pods for the coffee machine is a kind that does not match the machine and does not work. would have been nice to have proper coffee in the morning with correct pods.

I was naturally reluctant to book this guesthouse as it had no reviews on booking.com due to being so new to the market, so I decided to phone to find out if I could take a look first. Jean answered the phone and said she would put the kettle on for when I arrived. I already had a good feeling about this. What I wasn’t expecting was the brand new, gargantuan and beautifully appointed room/suite that awaited, with a comfortable bed and all the self catering facilities you might need. There was also a spectacular and enormous Dragon tree outside the bedroom window which was a joy to wake up to! It was a snip at £75 a night, and I felt very lucky that there was availability for the nights that I needed. What a gem, and by far the best guesthouse I’ve ever stayed in - I could’ve happily moved in! Jean was super friendly and the perfect hostess, and could not have done more to make me feel welcome and comfortable. She was available on WhatsApp for any questions, and responded very quickly. If I was forced to make a negative comment it would be for there to be a socket close to a mirror so I could dry my hair, however after mentioning this to Jean, she soon rectified it. That is next level service right there! I cannot recommend Dragon tree guesthouse highly enough. Thank you again Jean x

Dragon Tree is one of the best accommodations in Kalk Bay! Everything about the space is magical: crisp bedsheets, a private kitchenette, and a lovely shower. Loved the furniture finishes !
