Central Windsor 1BR, Steps from Attractions

Great location. Lovely property.

Struggled to open the sofa bed. I think instructions would have been helpful.

This is a great apartment to stay in as a base for exploring Windsor. It is around a 5 minute walk to the high street and around a 10 minute walk to Windsor Castle. The apartment is very clean and beautifully furnished. There is no parking available at the apartment but we used the Victoria Street car park which is on the same road and was very easy to find and convenient. Be aware that entry is restricted on Friday and Saturday evenings from 9pm to Windsor on-street permit holders only.

The apartment was very warm when we arrived and remained warm throughout our stay. I checked the thermostat but no heating was on, it must have been from heat rising from the ground floor apartments. We opened all windows to cool it down and there is a small fan in the bedroom but it did get warm in the night when we shut the windows. We did not use the sofa bed but I would not like to sleep in the kitchen/diner/living room as the apartment is on a main road and the traffic is very noisy. There is also a pedestrian crossing nearby which is used regularly and can be heard in the apartment. The main bedroom is very quiet as this backs on to a courtyard, so the apartment is great if you just want to use this room to sleep in.

road noise but that can’t be helped and only a problem when the windows were open, the double glazing worked well
