Lovely and comfortable, good location and great view

Nothing really

The location is unsurpassed, the view was relaxing from the supplied comfortable armchairs. The games provided were a nice touch and the sofa was large and comfortable. The information packs were useful and the binoculars were a thoughtful touch. The heating system is easy to use although the bathroom radiator could do with thermostat as it does heat the bathroom too much although it can be turned off when not required . The foldaway table is very useful for food and games. The location is perfect for the beach, car park , pubs, shops and the chip shop is fantastic. Although the property is on a main road the windows keep out road noise but also give a nice breeze if opened.

This is where I must stress that if the following were actioned this place would become my go to destination. The mattress is desperately in need of changing on the one side and I slept on the couch the last few nights as it was giving me back ache . The shower has no flow pressure which means you cannot remove soap easily and alternates between cold and piping hot, or you can balance it somewhere in the middle and get a lukewarm trickle of water. The basket of draws in the bathroom had empty toilet rolls in a drawer . The cupboard above the hob had 4 cans of skol super in there from previous guests and the cooking pans / baking trays supplied were not adequate to cook a meal which probably shows why the oven looks unused , also the frying pan has seen better days. The towels provided were not bath towels and too small for their purpose. The WiFi is too weak and makes watching the smart television in the lounge impossible as it constantly buffers. The pen provided to fill in the visitor book was empty which probably explains so few entries. Although not necessary , I have got used to every property I have stayed in for over a decade now usually offers a welcome bottle of wine and some other foodstuffs which I always find a nice touch but here there was nothing. These are small changes overall but do show that perhaps the ones in charge of maintaining this property have taken their eye off the ball.

The cleanliness needs a little attention. Food spills left in cupboard round bin . Bathroom mirrors full of finger marks . Greasy plates left in cupboard. Holes in throw on the bed .

Everything you needed was in walking distance. Easy to get to. Beach was lovely.

Everything was as it was on the booking. If one thing was to be changed, I would like the front door to be more secure, more locks for people who are travelling solo.
