Il Terrazzo Sulle Dolomiti

The apartament has all the features you would expect and is very comfortable and clean. The sleeping areas are large, as well as the ones for sitting during the day. It has a fully equipped kitchen with a small sitting area, one living room with couch and a larger dinning area and two large terraces. In this kind of apartments are usually fitting 5 or more, having it for only 3 was great. The public parking lot (which is free of charge) is at 3 minutes walk and we always found empty spots even if it was fullest possible season at end July. Cibiana is at 5 minutes drive from the main Cadore valey, at 40mins from Cortina d’Ampezo, with easy access to the mountains near Cortina, but also on the other side (Civetta, Marmolada, Piz Boe). It’s incredibly quiet and picturesque. It was a great starting point for our 8-days trekking and viaferrata adventures with our 6 year old.

Only the fact that we had to go home at the end…

The place is magical where nature is so nearby you. Mornings you can spend in the balcony with cup of coffee in front of mountains view and sound of the waterfall! Spacious stay in small mountains village!

A spacious, traditionally furnished apartment in a very quiet area with a lovely, sunny balcony and a fantastic view of the mountains. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed, including the basics for cooking (salt, pepper, some spices, oil & vinegar, kitchen towels, dishwasher detergent) - plus the owner even provided some pasta and pasta sauce for us! Basic toiletries in the bathroom were also provided. The host - Sonia - was very friendly, she speaks good English. The apartment was pleasantly cool despite the heatwave in June. There is a small shop very close by, open in the mornings. Free parking a 3-minute walk from the property. Cortina D'Ampezzo is about a 30min drive.

Nothing bad to say, just adding some information: Be aware that there are no restaurants in Cibiana, you have to drive a few minutes to the next village - this didn't bother us, though, as we were mostly out all day and ate before returning to the accommodation. The driveway down to the house when you want to unload/load luggage from your car is a bit narrow and steep, so a bit of a challenge, but manageable (we parked temporarily on top of the driveway and carried our luggage, so no issue for us).
