Aleberry Bed and Breakfast

Owner/host Kay was wonderful, full of enthusiasm and good ideas, flexible and resourceful with our needs and requests. Breakfast was good coffee, toast with butter/jam/marmalade, yogurt, various cereals, excellent fresh fruit each day. Value/Price ratio was outstanding. Inexpensive, convenient to everything in Lewes, quiet, homey, private.

Only regret was not being able to stay longer. Perhaps being able to get breakfast super early would be nice for some travelers but Kay had the good sense to talk us out of that!

Excellent location and parking. The property was spotless. Every detail considered. Spacious, well lit bathroom with gorgeous toiletries. Soothing and uncluttered room with generous storage, a huge bed and TV. Breakfast was exceptional with freshly made orange juice, superior coffee and fresh, light ingredients. Our hostess was so personable we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here! Thank you so much for making our busy (wedding facilitating) weekend run like clockwork!

Fantastic location, parking outside the property. The host Kay was very welcoming and friendly.

Probably the only negative was no cooked breakfast.

We had a great stay at Aleberry. The house was lovely with a very nice and clean room with a spacious wardrobe. The private bathroom was great with a shower and separate bath. The whole house was well kept and always clean. The landlady made us a nice breakfast with yogurt, fruit, toasts and sat with us for a chat. We loved our time and left very relaxed.

Very well situated with off road parking. Extremely clean. B&B style with a lovely host.

Large, cosy, and clean room with private bathroom across the landing. Excellent location in the centre of Lewes convenient for train and bus station but still quiet. Kay was very welcoming and provided a good healthy breakfast, including fresh fruit and juice.

Seems quite expensive but actually is good value for the area where generally accommodation prices are high.

Great host and location

A warm and wonderful welcome in this centrally placed location. We took the superking size bed, and almost didn't get out of it for the breakfast on the second morning we were so comfy! The room was a great size, the bathroom was nice and spacious, we'd definitely book again.

Honestly it was pretty good. As I'm forced to find a negative for this review: The breakfast was cereals, fruit, yoghurt and orange juice, so anyone expecting a cooked breakfast may be out of luck. Howeverthe landlady was lovely and a joy to interact with, I have every faith that you could make requests and she would bend over backwards to help you.
