GBU Loboc River Guesthouse

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The property was clean and modern. A great place to stay away from the hustle and bustle.

It was a little away from restaurants and bars but the manager sorted us out with Tuk Tuk drivers who were on hand throughout our stay to take us places and bring us back.

The staff were wonderful-they were super helpful in organizing a tuk tuk for us. The rooms and whole facility were very clean! The location was easy to get to our activities for the day. They were great at accommodating our two kids who shared a room--they set up an extra bed for our six year old so the kids wouldn't have to share a bed. Also, they were very accommodating. We had a tour scheduled for the second day there and they said we could leave our bags after checking out if the tour company didn't have room for our bags. The ladies were very friendly and kind.

The doors didn't lock. We weren't really worried about our things, but they didn't have a room big enough for the kids to sleep with us. So the kids slept in a separate room and when we are not in a familiar area, I would have felt better had the kids been able to lock their door at night. Also, their listing on booking.com says explicitly that breakfast is provided in house. When we inquired about breakfast the next day, we were pointed to other restaurants down the street. A small inconvenience but kind of misleading. Finally, the inn is not well marked from the street. In the dark it is hard to find.

NOT on Google Maps, NO Sign in Front of building, Room Smelled from AC Mildew (I believe), Gaged Dogs in garage barking a lot during the night.

The manager was friendly and the owner even more, they were very helpful and fot sure are nice people. For that reason I'm so sorry to give this bad review.

3 nights without sleep, barking dogs or chicken dont let me sleep, ants in the room (we had no food or anything around), finally ants in the bed. The mattress (both very uncomfortable) the futon from the baby was were i finally sleept. Shower cold (no problem for me but for the baby was not nice). The toilet seat broken, towel with oxide, only you tube on the TV. No individual balkony. No breakfast was offered. The pier like in the images is not there. For me all that is no real problem, but for this price you can find much better ones in Loboc! We saw 3 acomodations more and they were much better and cheaper.

The location is great and they have scooters for rent. The room was okay, not great. Good for 1 night. Hostess was friendly

The value for money was a bit worse than we were used to.
