Refugio de Mery Lucmabamba

Le café, le dîner et le petit déjeuner étaient exceptionnels. La chambre était très propre et avec plusieures couvertures, ainsi qu'une serviette de bain. Les hôtes nous ont offerts un jus de fruit en arrivant, ainsi qu'un fruit et des gâteaux pour la randonnée du lendemain.

We loved the hosts, they were super friendly and engaging. Also loved the coffee tour and the food was so amazing. The beds were super comfy too. We loved everything.

The best accommodation on the Salkantay trail so far. There is wifi, hot shower and really nice rooms. On request, the host made really good vegan food for me. They also do coffee tours on their own plantation. I recommend.

Realmente no hay palabras para agradecer el buen trato por parte de Meri. El lugar es un paraiso rodeado de verde. Meri te espera con un jugo de maracuyá que sienta de lujo después de la última subida. La cena y el desayuno son increibles, abundantes y riquísimls. Además tienes la posibilidad de hacer allí mismo la actividad del café, la cual es super interesante y si tienes suerte como nosotros quizás puedas incluso participar en la recolecta de los granos. La habitación tenía todo lo necesario y estaba muy limpia. Realmente no se podría mejorar nada a nuestra estancia! Dar las gracias una vez más a Meri por su buen trato!

What a fantastic place. Yes it is a little hike up a hill, but we were received with warmth from the owners and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. Three of us stayed in the refugios, and our two camping mateswithout a booking were given a safe place to pitch a tent. The rooms were extremely comfy, with many blankets and had an emsuite bathroom with endless hot water. Outside the room is a lovely balcony with massage rollers, exactly what was needed this stage in the trek. The food was the best food I have had on salkantay, very veg and vegan friendly. There are coffee tours on site and a little store that sells the cheapest bread and fresh fruit/veg.when we left Mery gave us all Oreos and a banana for the road.

I read in another review that this was the best stay of the Salkantay trek, for me this was the best stay of a 2-week trip in Peru. Having taken a van in the morning in lieu of hiking from Chaullay, we arrived well before check-in time, and they were incredibly accommodating. Mery is an amazing host. The welcome juice was a great touch. Best breakfast of the trip, which included a very generous portion of guacamole made fresh from the avocados hanging on the trees that all around the place. The dinner was above a beyond anything else we had on the trek. Best shower of the trek. I highly recommend the coffee tour, which is a great value, where we got to participate in the entire coffee making process from picking the beans to drinking a tasty cup at the end.

Mery y su marido muy amables y atentos a las necesidades del viajero. Hice la visita del café (recomiendo). La cena y el desayuno de 100/10. Te hacen sentir súper bien. El café muy rico.

Perfect location for those trekking the salktantay trail. Excellent food
