Had to walk on main road to go from cottage to recreation area. Only a narrow counter and stools to sit and eat at inside.

The cottages were newer

BUYER BEWARE When we arrived we were told to inspect the room, we did. Called the office and told them that the toilet was loose and the foor was soft underneath it they said thanks for telling us. We didn't want to move they said they were going to have the handyman work on it. We can move you to another upgraded cottage. We can move you there, no charge. So we move 2 hours later we get a charge for the upgraded room. So, I went to the office and talked to the woman at the front desk she I'll have the manager look into, and we will have it refunded! That was a big fat lie!!! At the end of the stay, it still wasn't resolved. And the place isn't what they say it is. The paddleboard / kayaking pond is cesspool. You can't use it she said. Buyer beware, if you rent here, tell them the handyman needs come and fix it. Because if they you move you they will charge you an additional charge .and the manager and Booking won't do jack about it! The greeting sign should say, WELCOME TO SHADY LANE!

Kitchen has what we need though the fridge was very small

I'm shocked by the 9.1 rating. The absolute biggest red flag here is the overpowering, toxic renovation odor that no one else seems to mention. It caused me to blow my nose constantly, ruined my sleep, and left me with a morning headache. We literally threw away money by abandoning our second night just to sleep somewhere breathable. The bed offers very little support (a nightmare if you have back issues, and I’m usually fine with basic budget hotels), and the curtains fail to block any sunlight. The price is affordable for the Keys, but please beware if you value your sleep and respiratory health. BTW: they ask you to sweep the door and clean the table top before check out. And we followed it. Just wish I knew that before booking

We rented a two-bedroom cottage, and it was spotlessly clean. Everything was new, and the kitchen was fully equipped with all the necessary cookware and utensils. Towels, shampoo, and other essentials were provided. There is also a barbecue area next to the cottage. The location is about a 35-minute drive from Key West. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was excellent!
