The Old Workhouse Paddocks

Great location, modern facilities and our toddler and dog loved playing in the meadow. Thanks Karena for making up the superking downstairs!

The BBQ had been removed so we just used the oven. But BBQ would have been great over summer.

Exceeded our expectations with how homely it felt, with unexpected flourishes like a gravel garden and hanging pots outside, flowers and lots of pictures and occasional furniture inside. It was also very well catered for a dog, with a great paddock for extra running around.

Having to leave, lol! There was plenty of space for us, but might have felt cramped for 4 adults.

We really enjoyed our stay at the paddocks. Everything you need is there and it was perfect for our dog who could just pop in and out as he pleased. The house was well equipped and I can tell a lot of thought was put into the finer details. WiFi worked well. The coffee machine was a lovely bonus. All in all, it was peaceful and we could really relax and enjoy our time away. We had a little hiccup booking the house as there were three options and I think I selected the wrong one. But Karena was fantastic and helped us to rectify this allowing me to have a peace of mind that things were in order and I didn't have to worry about anything. Would definitely return in the future.

Not much really, if i had to put something then I would add a shower door or the like to avoid getting the floor wet everywhere but it was only a small inconvenience, mostly for the kids who forgot to wear their slippers and walked in with their socks on! However, the shower itself is powerful and extremely comfortable.

Lovely building. Quite quirky. Nice outbuildings and places to sit outside. Very relaxing. Loved upstairs lounge.

Could not find instructions as to how to work coffee machine. Wasn’t really problematic.

There was nothing not to love about the property, I think the owner had thought of everything and communication was great throughout
