I would expect a welcoming package such as water. The second bed was not made and I was told I should have explicitly requested for it.

The host was kind enough to allow me to self-check in two hours early which fitted with my new itinerary. Communication was very clear and easy. The apartment is in an historic building full of charm and authenticity and the location could not be more perfect. It is in the historic centre within two minutes walk of the main streets for restaurants, bars, shops and the many beautiful architectural sights of the city. I went on three excursions and the usual meeting spots are approx 15-20 mins walk. The central station is 10 minutes walk and the Lidl supermarket is 6 mins walk away. The apartment has three balconies, all big enough to step out onto and one of which has a bistro table and two chairs. It catches the sun all morning and I could sit there with a glass of wine each evening watching the living theatre of people, scooters, walkers, horses and ape cabs moving in perfect harmony through and across the junction on which the property sits. Despite all the day time activity, the apartment was quiet at night with just the odd noise you would hear in any city dwelling. Access to the apartment is through three separate locked doors and so it felt very safe and secure. The bathroom is beautiful and seems like it has recently been renovated so you can overlook earlier reviews which mention problems/size. The air conditioning works excellently and there is a pedestal fan if you want a breeze for sleeping. Lastly, don't be put off by the appearance of the front of the building, it hides a real treasure.

There were no significant drawbacks to the apartment but it may be worth noting the following: Detergent for the washing machine and dishwasher is not supplied so you should pack a few tablets/pods of your own. There is a gas hob, but no oven. This is as advertised but I hadn't noticed it so just flagging in case you didn't notice either. There is a kettle, microwave and a great coffee pod machine (a few supplied to get you started). I understand toasters are rarer in Italy and the apartment does not currently have one. There are 46 marble steps to get to the apartment which is worth bearing in mind if that would prove challenging. It is an historic building so there is no lift. The pillows were too hard for my liking but that's personal taste. The key to the apartment was strange to me. It worked, of course, but there was quite a bit of fiddling involved every time. I would recommend this apartment without hesitation to anyone and would stay again if I return to Palermo.

I felt safe. It was clean and update. It was close to many historical sites with in walking distance.

It was noisy.

The apartment was absolutely beautiful and had so much space. More amazing than I was expecting. Toti was the sweetest person we could've had to help us on this trip. He was willing to drive us wherever we asked to go and gave recommendations. The location was within close walking distance to the city center. Everything about this place was wonderful and I would recommend staying here to anyone visiting Palermo.

The keys were a bit difficult to get used to.

Big space, nice bathroom and there is a kitchen. Slept well

The shower doesn't have the best splash protection. So the bathroom floor tended to get very wet when people shower! Not a big deal

The apartment is on the main street and in the centre. Our host Toti was very nice and helpful. We absolutely loved the apartment, it's very spacious, has a nice balcony and a renovated bathroom. We also felt very safe, since its on a third floor. 10/10 recommend.

Great location. A very spacious apartment, with two nice terraces with view over the street.

For the light sleeper, this stay might be a bit loud since you will hear the sounds of the street through the night.

This is such a gem! the location of the property is excellent. charming interior, with all the facilities you could need. We found the location reasonably quiet for bustling city! Beautiful balcony for morning coffee and watching the world go by. Daniele is a wonderful host. Met us on arrival, even after a delay on our flight. Very quick at getting back to you too. I would stay here again!

Honestly loved the place, but in the interest of improvements: The bed upstairs isn’t very comfy. if you love hard mattresses, then you’ll be fine. A few more pillows wouldn’t go a miss either. The toilet doesn’t flush well, but nothing a toilet brush can’t handle.
